PREPPING YOUR BABY
- Feed Baby Before the Session: Please fully feed your baby shortly before we arrive at your home. A content, sleepy baby is ideal for a successful session.
- Clothing: Dress your baby in a loose outfit that zips or snaps up the front. Use a loose diaper and avoid tight socks to minimize marks on their skin.
- Pacifier: Even if your baby doesn’t typically use a pacifier, please have one available. A soft pacifier, like the Soothie brand, works best (without stuffed animals or attachments). Pacifiers are great for calming your baby during posing.
- Bandaids: Please remove any bandaids before the session, as they can leave marks.
DURING THE SESSION
- Sibling Participation: If siblings will be part of the session, we recommend photographing them at the beginning or end of the session.
- Parent Participation: Feel free to watch or take a break while we work. We want you to enjoy the experience!
- Patience and Details: Our sessions focus on precision, from perfecting poses to ensuring every little finger is in place. This is what transforms your baby’s portraits into timeless art.
WHAT TO WEAR
For Parents:
- Keep it simple with neutral colors like black, white, or grey.
- Moms, opt for natural makeup, soft hairstyles (avoid heavy hairspray), and neutral nail polish. Avoid bold jewelry, as we want the focus on you and your baby.
- Dads, make sure clothing is wrinkle-free.
For Siblings:
- Simple is best: neutral-colored tees or tanks with jeans is always a classic look. For girls, avoid bold hair accessories—small, neutral ones work best.
AFTER THE SESSION
- Your fully edited gallery will be ready within two weeks. You’ll receive an online link to view your images, select your included favorites, and purchase any additional prints or wall art.
